Website May Have Been Hacked.

I got a notice from Google webmaster tools saying one of my sites may have been hacked and is redirecting to spam content. I've check the site in multiple scanner including Wordfence and Sucuri and found no issues. I've tried to simulate the redirect with multiple browsers and also found no issues. Google lists only the main site and does not point to any specific file or page causing this. The site flagged by their report is

http://www.poppameth.com

However according to WM Tools the only domain with an issue is a sub domain located at:

http://darkling.poppameth.com

Again I can find no issues at all. I'm running Bulletproof security, Wordfence, and Sucuri on this site now with no issues. Wordfence has been in effect for months. I just added Sucuri to try and find any issues.

Any input on how to handle this with Google? If I tell them I can't find any issue to fix they usually ignore my requests for a review, even though that is suppose to be an automated process.

If your web site is legitimate, then you have chosen a URL with a poor track record....

That may be the worst url I have ever seen for a legit company.

Instantly makes me think of Walter White.

Re: Website May Have Been Hacked.

It's not really a legit company. It's just a collection of personal projects and crapola I've collected together over the years. Named after a character from an old novella I wrote a long time ago.

The Darkling sub-domain actually brings in a fair amount of ad revenue so someone doesn't mind the name.

As for a poor track record on the URL, there has been only one legitimate security issue in 3 years and the only thing I see any site complaining about is the overall popularity of the site; nothing security related.

I have submitted it for review so we'll wait and see. I don't see any issues either, but if you search for darklingdesigns in google, you'll see that the search result if flagged with a warning about being hacked.

Re: Website May Have Been Hacked.

It could be possible you got stuck with an ip address which someone dragged through the mud before it came to you.

Had that happen to me my site was blacklisted all over because of the ip address.

Google finally lifted the action on this one. Nothing was done on my end so obviously Google made a mistake this time. At least they didn't flag it as a code injection and effectively kill traffic to the site.

I had to smile when I clicked on your other site (http://www.morrispaint.com/) and saw the Berkeley House when I scrolled down. I miss Staunton! Small world
