Redirects On The Cheap

Does anyone know of a hosting site that has super-low prices for domains that are just redirects?

If you plan on redirecting a domain, you still have to pay the actual price for the domain itself.

In any event, use Go Daddy to register domain names, they are the cheapest registrar around. Don't use them for anything else though.

........

I understand that part. I'm looking for low-end hosting since all the domains will be are redirects.

You don't need hosting for this...? You need domain names. For which GoDaddy is likely the best solution for small business owners. Their hosting sucks though (if we're talking about professional grade!)

GoDaddy will provide you with Free Forwarding/Masking for each domain. These can be permanent redirects (301's)

They also give you the option of creating up to 99 subdomains per domain and forwarding those too...

eg. http://page1.yourdomain.com ----> www.yourdomain.com

$9.20 a year if you avoid all the extras...

You are as bad as he is; either snitch to the moderators or let everyone else decipher the bs from the useful info

Don't use GoDaddy for anything! They support SOPA which is legislation that will hurt the Internet as we know it if is passes. Google it if you are interested.

We use NameCheap. People also like Domain.com

As others mentioned, you will have to pay full price even if you do not have a site there. Just do a redirect. You may also consider putting a page on the redirect full of keywords and articles and an automatic redirect to your site.

Lol, who cares about SOPA - you shouldn't use Go Daddy because their hosting sucks.

Re: Redirects On The Cheap

As far as redirecting goes there are advantages to making a separate themed paged from site A to then point to your other site B, bridging the theme gap, especially if the topics are not compatible. This will pass more authority.

I use Godaddy for all my needs and they do a great job. Google likes them too. They have new co-owners now; let's see how it works out.
