Question

Anyone Heard Of This Outfit: Construction Pipeline

I've been receiving calls from this high pressure telemarketer from Construction Pipeline saying they pre-screen/qualify construction leads in your business area. Previously, their angle was for a monthly fee (I forget how much) they forward trade specific qualified leads to us sub-contractors, Their new angle is for $40/month they'll forward up to three qualified leads that they've screened within the last 24hrs with money back guarantee.

This sound too good to be true. (Scam) I asked for sub-contractors references so I can check them out. Their response is that they protect the sub-contractors privacy and do not give out references

Anybody heard of these guys and are they for genuine in their sales pitch? Your input is appreciated.

I don't get it.Do they sell leads or do they "Help
thousands of general contractors find quality subcontractors".

The site reads like it was done by a 6th grader....

480sparky -

Your right. Their WEB site doesn't have very much.

I first received a call from Construction Pipleine about a year ago and told them it sounds too good to be true. Back then, they gave me the "they protect the sub-contractors privacy" line when I asked for references. Lastweek and today I started receiving calls from them again this time from a high preasure (won't take no for an answer) type telemarketer. Both lastweek and todays call, I ended up hanging up on the guy. Today, the guy tried calling me back two more times consecutively and I let it go to voicemail. (Got to give the guy an A for persistence.)

Anyway, thought I'd post it up for feedback.

I just looked up the url's Whois record. For some reason they have chosen to hide the owner's name and contact info... this is *usually* because, well... they have something to hide.

sounds kind of like that Rigid Building systems BS. Except they wanted $4k for a brochure on how to market buildings for them, and then you build them for cheap.

Re: Anyone Heard Of This Outfit: Construction Pipeline

Yeah, I used their service a couple of years ago. It was ok. Some of the leads weren't that great, but I did get a couple of jobs. They also contacted me about a month ago about their new program. It's $40 per lead. I did it cause the first three leads were included in the first $40. The first two leads were good, I bid the jobs within a couple of weeks. The third lead the general wanted to much liability insurance, I'm only covered for a mil. I called them and told them that I wouldn't be able to bid that job and they gave me a lead credit. A few days later they sent me another lead and so far it's good. The general is currently pre-qualifying me for a B of A funded job. They have to make sure that I've never filed bankruptcy.

$40 per month is cheap. Of course only if the site is generating the leads. I just spoke to Yodle and want you to spend $750 per month basically to fun your PPC campaign.

Thumbs up

Re: Anyone Heard Of This Outfit: Construction Pipeline

I have used construction pipeline for 8 months. I am pretty happy with their service. Anytime I have an issue with a lead they have always looked into it and replaced it if it was bad, or have fixed the issue such as a bad email address. I normally don't post reviews but I was looking around online at different construction pipeline blogs and stumbled upon these reviews and saw some crazy stuff posted and thought I should put my 2 cents in. The guy that posted about the bbb rating, I did similar searches on other lead services and found that even huge companies like McGrawhill dodge report had worst ratings. But for what its worth, my experience using this service has been good. I guess that nothing in life is a 100% and maybe not every one has been as happy with the service as I have, but from my experience, no complaints.

Watch out this place is running a credit card scam! They will charge you when you never authorize it. We had to report the charge as fraud! I called and this person “Jay who answers the phone will say his is the owner but the stat records show different. Jay is rude and completely unprofessional. Kenneth (Ken) Rice is the president working out of some house in Vancouver, WA. Please block their phone number
