Seem Treatment For 5/8" Plywood And Vinyl Plank Flooring

To meet an existing floor, I am going to use 5/8" plywood as the underlayment for (3/16" x7.5"x48") Engage Plank floating vinyl flooring. I intend to gap the sheets of ply with a nickel spacing between sheets. Should I fill the gap with something or just leave it? Options include caulk, sealing over the open gap with self stick membrane or cement product (Ardex). What would you use?

A dime would be more appropriate, but there's no need to fill it with anything. Just make sure it's sanded flat.

expansion gap. Usually I use 1/4" ply so I wasn't sure if I needed a bigger gap.

Yep - most times a telegraphing underlayment joint is from the patch
