Repairing Gouge In Textured Vinyl Floor

Continuous roll.

Apparently a sort of thumb-shaped flap was cut into the surface. Must have either been a helluvan drop an intentional strike.

The color of the vinyl is mixed tan and the surface texture is almost granular. And the gouge is right smack in the center of the area.

It stands out as a dark perimeter...that I intend to clean it with bleach or whatever?

As far as what to patch/seal with and possibly lay down with some weight - I found some marine adhesive with the disadvantage of being clear.

What could help conceal with a more solid color to help hide the sign of impact?

Re: Repairing Gouge In Textured Vinyl Floor

IIRC, my floor guy just uses seam sealer. Or the glue he used on the floor. I got a hole like that once when my boot lace hook ripped a hole just as I was finishing an entryway. Very last thing, very last moment and we were done.

Called him and he said just push it down and it will be fine.

I'd go with seam sealer on an old floor. Especially if it is a rental.

Any particular kind?

Hopefully comes in tan...unless I can find a way to add color to it.

I have taken a "Dutchman" from under the stove or fridge, following the pattern. Seen it a few times sliding appliances....
