Polyuethane Question

Would youi use the same oil-based polyuethane on the stair parts (newel post, balusters, handrail) that you would use on the flooring?

The stair parts are new. I'm refinishing the stair treads.

Re: Polyuethane Question

It's tradition. It goes back to a point when there was little else available.

BTW, I'm old school and polys look like plastic coatings to me........and they are!
You can't solve you're problems with the same level of thinking that created the problems.
