I would love to have one.... The UK has some really nice looking ones from the big tool manufacturers.

I can see it being useful for flooring, but not your average every day jobsites... cut capacity on the miter is too small...

Cool idea though...

It would be worth having just for the shock value. That is a strange looking tool.

Re: Miter/table Saw Combo Is Here In U.S.

I went over to my wife's cousin's house the other day. Her husband is installing some laminate flooring, and he had his miter saw on top of his table saw. Does that count?

For flooring it would be a dream.... For everything else I don't see it replacing my other saws, but rather being an easy saw to throw in the truck when I have to go do a small job.... If you google the makita and the bosch they have a larger cut capacity than the saw the OP posted.

my hyperlinks did not work, but type this is google - makita table saw / miter saw hybrid

Re: Miter/table Saw Combo Is Here In U.S.

I haven't looked at the particulars of each. I only saw the Bosch brand a few years ago and watched the videos.

It(whichever) would have to be easy to use without adjustments/brackets/covers, whatever, just an on/off switch for both. For hardwood(gluedown) we don't use miter too much with the magnum shear, sometimes only to cut transitions, the table is mandatory, and the width of these are fine. Was ready to buy another magnum shear, but the last two months have been removals and I need instant payback of tool purchases, no more purchases for possible jobs coming up, been there done that, sold it!

I have seen them here in Canada a few times. They were all cheap house brand products. I think they were close to 300 each. They would be great for flooring and the odd maintenance job

Yeah, we tore that a new one in another thread...

In a nutshell... Cool concept, cheap materials, not a lot of power, way too expensive for what it is...

Re: Miter/table Saw Combo Is Here In U.S.

Pretty cool. But why is the guy in the picture doing a mitered crosscut on the table saw?

I guess it would save time for multiple miters

I could see that by looking at it. Looks like one of those Chinese portable cigarette lighter compressors. Cast the shame!

Re: Miter/table Saw Combo Is Here In U.S.

I really can't look at it, it hurts my eyes. Quality tools that last long pull around 15 amps, all good tools need power, lots.

So I looked it up, briefly, here's the first review I read.
