Laminate Flooring Pricing

What is the going rate per square foot for labor for laminate flooring in the Atlanta area?

Thanks,
Michael

Re: Laminate Flooring Pricing

Michael-

What's the difference what the "going rate" is? The only rate that should matter to you is whatever your hourly rate is, divided by the number of SF you can install in an hour. If everyone else charges less than that, and you decide to do the same, you're selling yourself short. If your rate is too high for the area, you either need to be able to sell yourself to justify the higher cost, or you need to be able to lower your cost somehow (perhaps becoming more efficient).

I charge $2.50 a sq ft here in VA and buy the flooring for about .75-2.00 depending on what kind cust wants.

I get a touch more here, $3.75. Much depends on what else you offer. I always try to sell an upgraded base as opposed to the 'dreaded 1/4 round'.
