What flooring would you recommend for a below ground, basement gym flooring?

Re: Gym Flooring Recommendations

This is a great list of questions. A buddy of mine just got into a brand new home and wanted to turn the basement into a pretty large home gym. I'll get answers to these questions and get right back to you.

Thanks,

Re: Gym Flooring Recommendations

Big difference between what you need for weight lifting vs what is needed to play basketball on. Really need to understand the intended use.

Re: Gym Flooring Recommendations

Sorry for the delay. He is going to use it for weight lifting with no weights being slammed down on the ground.

Re: Gym Flooring Recommendations

I just built a 24' x 24' pole barn and what I use for my gym flooring in there is the 3/4" rubber stall mats from Tractor Supply. You can usually buy them online.

Generally speaking- Almost every commercial gym on the planet uses the 3/" thick rubber stall mats.
