I have to mount some fixtures (towel bars Ect.) to some porcelain wall tile and I was wondering what to drill it with. I have tried in the past with either carbide tipped bits or "tile" bits. They usally get so hot the carbite or tip falls out. Do they make a Diamond tip for porcelain?
How the heck did you chuck an SDS bit in a 1/2" drill?
And yes I agree they are fantastic bits, Bosch suck in comparison. The newer X series are much better than the old ones with the flat laser weld. I haven't lost a head with the new ones yet.
No problem. The bit was a 5/16 it had 3 groves that matched closely to the chuck, never moved on me..
I guess in just a natural.. Lol
