Does SLC Shrink?

If I pour SLC on a floor that has a 1 1/2" jump in elevation, like a little curb, will it shrink a little after pouring to level things out, and maybe still have a 1/8" jump at that spot?

Re: Does SLC Shrink?

No need for other SLC tips, I've successfully used it in "normal" cases.

Re: Does SLC Shrink?

I do not believe it shrinks.

You could do it in lifts with proper priming between lifts.

200 sf. old slab with a hump in the middle. 1/4 of slab was replaced after plumbing and is level, but falls off up to an inch and a half adjacent to the old slab in places.

Re: Does SLC Shrink?

I did 20sqft a little while back, brought up lowest point 1 1\2" in two pours with primer after first pour. I dont believe it shrunk, negligable if it did as it was still to the top of the form I had at the exterior door RO.
