Carpet Stapler Suggestion
I was awarded a job that includes carpet tile and base. Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent electric stapler to staple on the base? I don't want to spend a lot being that I don't do this type of work normally, but work is work. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Carpet Stapler Suggestion
Buy a cheap 1/4" crown Pnuematic stapler (if you dont have one) I have been doin carpet for 3 years and have yet to buy a elec stapler.
Unless you really need an electric one just buy a cheap air one to get you by.

Re: Carpet Stapler Suggestion
Not me. I've been doing carpet for 40 years and no way do I want to drag a compressor in on every job.

Re: Carpet Stapler Suggestion
I bought a lightly used on on Ebay about 8 months ago for $25 including shipping. I agree these kick butt. I usually just use it to fold the carpet up against my new tile threshold, but works like a champ when I do have to pull it out. Beats tacks by a mile.

Make sure to wiggle the nose of the gun in the nap Handy before you staple . this will give you a better finish product .

Re: Carpet Stapler Suggestion
Yah, found that one out the first time. Pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I'm shooting 9/16ths right now.

Re: Carpet Stapler Suggestion
The only reason i use the pneumatic is because i almost always have an air compressor on the job anyhow.
