Bobcat MT85 Spec, Weight 3150 operating weight in pounds, + operator @200 lbs. and bucket load of 850 lbs. =4200 lbs, more dynamically while prying and lifting or accelerating or braking of course....

Be a hardnose about eye protection, the brittle tiles will produce a lot of sharp shrapnel..

Landfill let us in with a pull off one time and we got to the back and the guys wouldn't pull it off. Said they weren't allowed to anymore. I guess they got caught taking a little hush money for doing it. I had to unload the entire roof by hand. AND IT WAS A 2 LAYER wood/ comp overlay.

halfway through i looked at my foreman and said I think I'm seriously about to start crying. and he said "me too"

it sucked so bad!

and ps use a machine to scrape up all that tile. who would crawl around on their knees with a hammer? thats crazy.;

I remodeled motels as a youngster in the early 70s. Always partially occupied. Built lots of garbage shoots. I used ply and 2x, because thats what I had on hand. Had a debris box on a big fork lift that would boom to a balcony. I would use the elevator as a last resort. Its slow and easily overloaded. The tile might surprise you and pop right up. You never know, until you try. Plan for the worst and hope for the best. Good Luck!
