Ryobi Door Hinge Template A99HT2

This is Ryobi's latest hinge template. I saw a thread from several years ago featuring a blue Ryobi hinge template that didn't produce very tight results at all. This one seems to be a much better product. I believe I got mine from the big orange place.

In my experience, the product is more than adequate for creating seemless 3 1/2 " hinge mortices quickly and efficiently. For $25 I've done over 100 replacement doors (solid and HC) in the past year or so with little of no wear on the jig. It gives options for 3-4" hinges as well as depth of mortice.

It comes with the cutting bit and a drillbit for the hinge screws. It clamps/unclamps to the door quickly and sturily without leaving impressions afterwards. It's simple to use correctly. If you do more than a few hundred doors you might want to invest in a better set of jigs - but if you're not in the volume oak door buisness give this a try and you migh be surprised at the inexpensive results you get.
