I would google "landscape design software",maybe check amazon for reviews Better homes and gardens produces some decent software for the price.

I guess you could just paint everything. That is sad. That is also why we ask budget questions first.

We have shimmed 4x8 beams with 4x4 block to butt up to a 4x12 and that is in the plans like that. I don't see why you could not use a wood shim as long as it is anchored somehow...
