Where's the Header
I looked at this house 4-5 years ago. There was a leak on the rear addition against the back wall. Somebody had repaired it recently by adding sheets of 3/4 plywood ON TOP of the existing tin roof for about 8', from the back wall. Then the tied into the existing tin near the chimney and roofed over the plywood. The roof was still low in that area. Nobody seemed to know why.
You could set a bowling ball in the front room, and it would sail right through the back wall at 35mph! Furniture is on unabridged dictionaries on the low side, floor on the high side.
How do you like the windows? I was called to patch a leak and replace one-two pieces of siding. I said I wasn't touching it until it was rebuilt with a header. Owner of other apartment wouldn't agree to the work or the cost. At least some good handy man showed up and made more siding repairs.
( The siding opens up every few years for some reason)
Nice window install.
A close up of this nice historic restoration. I need to take a pic of the finished product.
A nice historic restoration.
