Things Have Really Quited Down Up Here For Me. Although I Have People Interested, Nothings Panned Out So Far. I Imagine With Spring Around The Corner Things Will Pick Up. Hoping Anyway.

Kill, any pics of the concrete equipment? I was thinking about sending material out to concrete companies. Was it thick concrete?

Sounds as though you got us beat? I only have one for-sure job blasting a couple buildings that are going under renovation. Supose to begin around the 29th. I too have been giving out a lot of estimates. Will just have to wait and see.
I am curious as to what you bid the dump truck beds at. I recently submitted a bid on a dump truck bed for a landscape company. External walls only, 16' long, nothing on the inside, also the tandem rims and the external part of the frame rail from the cab back. Over all it was in good shape. No cancerous rust. One coat of paint. Basically I bid a range because they did not know to what extent they wanted it blasted. Brush off blast or white metal. My bid was min of $400 for 3 hrs or less to $1000. Let me know how it progresses for you.
Another avenue with the cement companies is water proofing. In my area usually it is a cement co. that does this. Around here if an existing building is having water problems they dig alongside of the foundation. Once the foundation is exposed creating room to work usually they have the foundation sandblasted to create a surface free of debris. Plus it gives the surface a profile for the mastic coating they apply to adhere to.

sandblasting

The dump bed is a bi rear axel. I wlll blast 4 sides. It has minimal surface rust on it show it should blow off eash...I am charging $700 for the truckbed ,that would be all sides, end cap and overhead works.

killzone,
How heavy are you going to blast this. White metal, near white metal, commercial or blast off.

Sorry I have been away for a few days, I blasted that dump truck bed yesterday.. I blasted all 4 sides to white metal, and he kept throwing in other things for me to blast...7 dump truck wheels, with tires on and that help a lot. He added the main support beams under the bed also. I used slag for the whole job and it came out pretty good. I had $150 in materials, It took me 4 hours and came home with a $800.00 profit.....Not to shabby for a newbee like me..... I have another small 1 ton dump truck bed to blast in a week or so. Concrete items are tough to blast, if it has fiber in it and is dried on the equipment its pretty tough. I did two mixers two hulling tubs and some other crap he had laying around.
