What Type Of Air Dryer Should I Go With?

As you guys may know, ive been experiencing some problems with my Soda blasting , mainly due to moisture issues. I been researching and found a couple of options.

My Current setup includes an aftercooler, cylconic sepatorator with float drain and standard water trap on pot.

My options are:

Van Air Single Tower Dessicant Dryer, very large, dont think i could fit it on the trailer.

http://www.super-dry.com/ - Dessicant dryer, similar to the van air, but much smaller in size and good up to 300 cfm of air. Im thinking this may be the solution for me, and that the only difference between this & the van air would be the shorter life of the dessicants because of the smaller tower vs the van air which should be longer since its alot more dessicants. According to super dry, the dryer is good for 120 hours with standard use.

A clemtex refrigerated/regenerative dryer, good up to 430 cfm of air but requires approx 30 cfm of air to operate, and doesnt need any dessicants or any fluids. just an ocasional opening of the plugs.

Question for Pananderson, how many hours do you get out of your dessicants or how often do you change it?

Re: What Type Of Air Dryer Should I Go With?

plazaman,
I called the guy who helped me start my soda blasting company. He sold it to a new guy. I have mentioned his name in other post's Dan Griffen. I told him about this web site. He has not logged on I think it is because he has retired. I will give out the number for his company. It is called SANI-BLAST,INC. 1-507-498-3558. Dan and I have history but we are not close friends. I informed him of this site last night. Now that he is not a salesman we had a great honest talk. I told him that there are alot of new contractors with good questions he told me he would try to help. Dan no longer owns this company but assured me that the new owner would help or get information for anyone. I used my system for fire resto and cleaning concrete. Dan told me that soda blasters should focus on the printing industry for cleaning printing presses. I cannot believe the guy sold his company but he is one of the best blast guys I have ever met.

panderson,
you mentioned this man recommended going after printing shops and cleaning there press'. Did he give you any idea as to whether they are cleaned right there or do they remove the press. I know some press' are as big as the room they are in. What would that process be like I wonder. I imagine they'd have to be blast cleaned of course. Then they must wash them. I imagine then the press' parts must have to be oiled and greased again.
Just wondering if he talked in depth about it.

Raven tank is not to far from you. I have painted and blasted tanks for them, biggest thing I have done is repair fiberglass tanks. One thirty thousand gallon tank is worth 25000$ You can repair one for 6000$ In one day. Most of these tanks will be on sites where you will need a permit to work . If you can get in with Raven Tank Corp. get it done. I Like to give out new leads . I dont know who I give them to good luck. This lead was for Bismark
