What Jobs You All Working On This Summer?

Its been slow for me so far this. I have done a few sets of patio furniture and man is that paint thick on them. I ended up just blasting the rust spots sanding and painting. Will be putting a bid on some Septic tanker trucks next week, frames only. Almost got that soda blaster but the after coolers/air dryers wernt in the budget so I backed off of that idea for now. Trying to sell my 1 Ton Chevy so I can get a trailer to mount everything on. It seems much more simple.

1. started out with 100# pot mounted on the front of my compressor which I hulled with my Dodge. Media placed in bed of truck.
2.next got the 600# pot mounted it into my dodge, and pulled compressor.
3.The easiest way I have found how to do this is by mounting everything on a trailer, media/hoses/and pot all in one. That is my goal

Have one similar; I am supose to give a quote on blasting (coatings too) galvanized panels for a grain bin the owner wants to set up into 2; 6'H x 33' in diameter water tight pools for testing what he manufactures.
I don't think 1.25 is too bad myself. With the economy as it is.
Media (slag) $.10/lb = about $100/hr
$45 - $65/hr labor
Diesel @ $5/gal. I'm @ 2 - 2.5gal/hr plus diesel fuel to get to job site.
Let some other sap do it for less! Find one that will pay you what your worth!
I have one currently that is blasting paint off a surface of a deck that I am thinking of charging $1.40/SqFt. 550SqFt Thinking of using crushed glass. I like the outcome better than soda on wood.
I've been blasting (brush off blast only) 20 and 30 yard roll off containers @ about $1.00/SqFt not sure thats enough. but got 30 of them in one shot.
