Re: Removing Kool Deck From A Pool Deck
One thing that I can think of would be the excess removal of concrete around the area that your blasting. If the coating is pretty hard to come up, then you will have a tendancy to blast away the concrete from around the coating and you will be left with little MESA'S like you see out in New Mexico. In doing this you will expose a lot of the aggregate in the concrete. Not a bad thing as long as the coating that is going back in it's place is a high build floor coating. One thing to do is to make sure that you hold the nozzle straight down on your work. This way your blasting on the coating as much as possible. Sometimes blasters will want to stand in one spot and blast as far out in front of themselves and this is where you will abrade the concrete too much as the coating gets harder to remove. Take your time with it and pay attention to detail.
