Marketing Soda Blasting For Fire Restoration - Who ?

How exactly should I market Soda blasting for the fire restoration industry. I already have an ad printed, which will be direct mailed. I could only think of Insurance adjusters, which I could only come up with a few. How do I get ahold of the insurance company? Anyone else?

I don't even do blasting, but I was looking at getting into dry ice for the same thing, restoration. You could try local clean-up companies. The people who come in and tear out the soggy carpet and insulation. Maybe try local mold companies. They might want you to get mold certified, but I would imagine, some time and effort into studying and you could have that. Just some ideas.

Plazaman,
I'm an insurance adjuster also so if you need any fine tuning for letters or anything let me know. You'll have to email me for the website where all the adjusters are listed at. This website won't allow me to put it in since I haven't made 15 posts yet.

I'd also look at getting a certification for Fire Restoration for a couple of reasons.
1. for your own educational benefit, when your talking about disaster restoration you never know what you'll encounter.
2. recognition - from Ins and other companies
3. never hurts a business card or marketing material to add a certification - makes you look legit...as well adds professionalism to the industry - your not just some guy that bought a soda blaster and threw it in the back of your pickup truck.

Look at the IICRC website - FR is a 2 day certification course.

I am also thinking about purchasing a soda blaster. My best friend has a home emprovment business and the insurance co. he works for has been telling him he needs to get into this fire restoration. If I had the equipment, I could do the blasting. What do they use the soda for in these fire restoration jobs?

kill, soda is a natural deodorizer, removes smoke, soot, and char from all the framing members . Leaving the house smelling fresh.

So it is basically used on the framing? What about stained drywall? And what the deal with mold removal? Im just kicking this idea around trying to educate myself on the topic and applications.

cant be used on drywall. can be used on wood framing , steel, concrete, brick, fiberglass etc... basically, everything needs to be gutted.

can be used in mold, again same substrates which the addition of hepa vacuum after blasting and spraying a biocide (i think)
