I Am Up And Running
blastserv.com
i mounted a airman 185 into the back of a '04 freightliner m2 box truck.i took the toungue and axle off and mounted it sideways right in front of the side door.bolted the after cooler under the side door under the truck and ran the hoses throught the floor so i hook into the drier outside.the truck also has a liftgate so i can lift my blastpot by myself.it seems like this is working out real well.i also rented a shop and turned the carport that was already there into a blast booth.still working on that though. i did some small stuff for the camaro guys around here,a 37 chevy and a big job for the musuem of fine art.they need these old sand casted aluminum panels blasted for paint.all that stuff is in my gallery on my site. |

What are the specs on your pot? The pics looked like a SurfacTek. Looks like you got a pretty sweet setup there. The website is awesome. Being in the IT field, I always appreciate people who have very nice websites. Keep us posted.

Re: I Am Up And Running
the web site designer is awesome if anyone wants a website you dont even have to meet this guy to know he is good...hit him up on his link at the bottom of my page.
as far as the stuff 300 lb surface tec blast pot 185 airman compressor i mounted the surface tek aftercooler under the truck and it works great as far cooling down the air. using mostly starblast and have a half pallet of surface teks super k not sure what it will on but i will test and see. so far i have had great luck with the equipment...i have not had any problems other than it is getting hot down here in florida and the cold air tube on the apollo 60 i have is not keeping me as cool as i think it should. i am gonna try and do some of the small auto restorations and such until i get my game plan straight, then i will move into larger jobs... i am also working on a vacuum that can suck up your used media on the ground either in your booth or on the parking lot where you met to do a job.looks like it will be great for this type of work.i will keep you posted as far as pics go i can try for this weekend.i am not a camera guy and nor do i carry one around but i will try to get some of the situation to share with the class... |
