Yea that glass was about the same the other number i gave you is the guy that has the best burwells abrasives used to stock some stuff that was sometimes a bit **** it had paper and was dirty and if you let it sit it would smell funny i think that was colmax glass but it apears from the samples that they have cleaned up there act a fair bit i used my last lot of burwells and they dont stock the finer grades any more so thats why im checking suppliers but after calling around a few of the top auto blasters like imperial blasting this guys number kept on popping up so i went with his glass give him a call and tell him simons sodablasting gave you his number he will sought you out and at $181 PER 1.5 TON its a bloody good price.

The 30/15 he stocks is a little finer graded (so everybody tells me)and would leave a smother profile then the 0.3/0.8

Have you got an after cooler yet?

No aftercooler yet, got a boat to do tomorrow (with soda) I'm not sure if the ASB media valve will take the glass, I don't know what steel is inside them ? glass might grind it away, it's pointless asking them, they will only tell me to use soda through the valve, ABS has more secrets then the CIA

yea them blokes are like that if you read there website carefully they do say they that you can put other media through there pots but then they have a big write up on why would you want to so you would be covered by a warranty if it did chew it out it would have to be made from some weak **** not to stand up to glass.

Have you blasted the gel coat on a boat before?
What size nozzle do you use?

Yer, done a couple of boats, I have been using a #4 nozzle @100psi but tomorrow I will try the #5 @ 90psi (due to air requirements) and I will turn up the media up a bit, have to get this one done as quick as possible.

Because ASB only recommend using soda through their gear they only use a mild steel nozzle's not tungsten or any thing like that, but I will still run some glass through it to try it out

Your kidding me there nozzles are only mild steel thats a bloody joke take the machine back mate they state on there web site that they can blast other medias through there gear if i were you i would ask for a refund if they dont threaten to take them to the ACCC because the equipment doesnt do as advertised.
