Bulldog, I just saw this post.. Most of my stuff is done outside but the recent call for blasting small items has sent me on quest for a good blasting cabinet. As far as inside blasting goes, I would love to put in a blast room. I even thought about getting an old semi trailer, removing the axels, putting some lights in and some big ass exhaust fans at one end of it. It seems like heating the room would be an issue with so much air being pulled out. Who knows, I am new to this game..

Well I was going to build a 22'L x 14'W x 8'H room, wood frame and metal siding. In fact I have bought the siding but just this week I found a 26L x 16'w x 8'h paint booth very cheap and that is what i am going to use for the blast room. Now the next part is to fine a dust collector, the type that will exhaust the clean air back into the shop which will kept the heated air in the shop.

The paint boothe you are going to use for your blast room. What are the walls made of. What kind of lighting is in there. This may sound different but I use my compressors and my air dryers heat exchangers to heat while I blast. I work in Minnesota and I have alot of luck with it. Have you ever had problems with tape coming off due to cold surfaces.
