Gotta work fast though, you only get about 20 - 25 minutes of air with an SCBA

Re: Respirator Survey

painter is right, most manufacturers of urethanes recommend the use of SABA's (Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus) when using urethanes, many contain some rather volitile chemicals, some which displace oxygen, which is the reason for positive pressure respirators. There are many types of urethanes, some are less dangerous than others.

A company I worked with wouldn't even let you take your protective suits out of the work staging area because of the possability of contamination to other areas.

You should consult with the manufacturer of the product you are using for all the specific details. We used some urethanes that were relatively safe, all they required was fresh air ventilation or positive pressure ventilation and standard organic vapor cartridges. The manufacturer can tell you everything you need to know.
