Which products do you like the best? Also which equipment do you prefer? I have been looking at the Graco 3800. Any thoughts?

I have tried coatings and chemicals from about a dozen coatings mfg's from san diego to new york and for my money and ease of use the winner is midwest chemicals now located in florida.i like their wipe on primer and their 1:1 epoxy primer and hsld 5000 coatings 4 hr dry time.graco is good but all those 3 stage + turbine systems are over priced and all those expensive guns are good but a pita to keep in perfect spray ready condition.i (no bs) use a cheap 100 dollar hvlp turbine system that uses a cheap plastic fantastic spray gun that is super duper easy to clean and use.i also have the expensive 4 stage systems but dont use them at all any more.wanna buy my titan ts 50 with complete projecter set.wagner finecoat will work perfect so will harbor freights hvlp turbine system and other similar cheap systems.i have made thousands and thousands and thousands off those cheapo sprayers rain or shine you can do it.

Thumbs up

I have been making good money for the year repairing cracks in tubs ,replacing fittings on jetted tubs and resurfacing the tubs.I have been using my capspray8100 with the max guns ,they work very well if you dont want to drag along a heavy air compressor around ,i still keep them in my truck as a backup , but once you buy your expensive equiptment you can do your own advertising you 'll be able to make some desent money....

Has anyone repaired spider web cracks in a new fiberglass tub? One of our jobs ended up with a large series of cracks in the middle- like someone dropped a bowling ball on it. Tub was protected with plywood on top before we ever got onto the job, so whatever happened, happened before or after.

Contractor wants to get it fixed. Any suggestions?

could be due to poor/bad tub installation.lack of support under tub creates flex in floor areas when steped on by heavy people and bottom will crack and leak water.many ways to fix, drill 1/2" holes around damaged area spray a dense foam in let dry sand bottom only, 80 grit ,patch w/fg bondo and paint bottom w/poly.you could make a rectangle pattern mix non-skid in paint and roll on with foam pee roller.

Because it was a new tub install, I figured it had support underneath, but that's a good idea to check- The plumber had to hook everything up after we were out of there and he's a pretty big guy, that could be where it happened.

I'll make the suggestions-Thanks
