Mixing Paint With Poly

I have a wood floor that needs a tough finish. What ratio would I mix poly to paint?

Re: Mixing Paint With Poly

Wouldn't you paint it and then put the poly down after ( I'm assuming polyurethane). To make it more durable put down additional coats of poly.

Dont mix poly with paint.

There is a polyuerthane paint for cars , it doesn't need clear coat ...thats laquer your thinking.

If your gonna paint a wood floor , I'd prep it properly and apply an oil primer with 2 coats of any finish you like with roll/brush .NO masking reqired, unless your like me ....I spray anything that isn't moving.

You can say that again!

I think he may be seeking advice on what two products he should use "together".
Or at least I really hope that is the case here.

I have used TredPlex 1 part waterborne epoxy from S.W. with great results.
The product is available in any color including clear for the top coat.
Roll slowly due to bubbles that may appear.
