Exterior concrete coating supplier recommendation

Hi, I have to coat a set of exterior concrete stairs and I am going to throw in decorative quartz chips, what I am looking for is a recommendation for a supplier of exterior grade epoxy and a final urethane top coat.

I have used some of the companies around here in the area before but most of them do not recommend there product for exterior because of the uv.

So I am looking for a source, even if they have to ship it to me, what I was recommended by one company (that I won’t deal with anymore) is a base coat, quartz (two broadcasts), polyurea, and then urethane, is this sound about right for exterior? Thanks for the input.

I use alot of PPG Industrial Products. Contact your local Rep. and have him look at the job and give you a recc. i do know that epoxies are not to be used exterior as a finish coat. (UV issue). Primers are o.k. Urethanes are the best top coats exterior. Good luck..

Thanks guys for the input, I will get a hold of them tomorrow, I also found these guys but I am not sure if they are just a consumer grade product or not, but it looks pretty cool, only negative is that you have to trowel the product down.

Daich coatings are good but not what you described. They have a product now that you roll, no troweling. Buy it in Oswego at Oswego Paint (bout 30 min. north of you) But check out Elite Crete dist. in Midlothian. They have a Spartic-rm urethane and all the different granule and flake choices and sizes. Incredibly strong product. Re-coats in 6 hrs.

Careful you don't create a slip hazard on those stairs.

Yes, planning on using sand/aluminum oxide as an anti slip. I still "worry" about it though. Two older ladies that I am doing the work for, I told them the risks, but thats what they want.
