Easily removing Wallpaper !!!!!YUCK!!!!!

If any one can help me with this question, would be cool. I am a painter/decorator. I have a client that is removing their own wallpaper. What is the easiest, less stressful, way to do it. I still believe in tho old fashion techniques even though I am not antique......... One wall has paper stuck right on to the sheet rock with no prep first. The client scored this wall, unfortunately will not beable to remove the old wall paper. The other wallpaper is peeling away but the backing is staying on. Should this then be skim coated ? I don't do wallpaper, can u tell. Thanks so much

warm water at that, for the under coat layer just hit it again
the wall will need a skim coat more than likely anyway because i find when scraping off the wallpaper, more than likely there will be a few gouges here or there

I have used a product called Chomp, and it seemed to work great. I am curious to know if others have as good of luck with it. I am sure wallpaper comes off much differently from one job to the next, but this Chomp worked wonderful for me. I have tried all the other concoctions--downy and water, vinegar and water, and even a steamer--and have come to the conclusion that it is just a tedious process , any way that you do it!!

you know what else works is liquid fabric softener and hot water. I always add a bit of DIF into the mix but it works well and smells good too.

I use a sprayer filled with hot water and around 2 cups of Krud Kutter mixed in.
I keep a stock of cheap bath towels (unused thank you) to absorb a majority of the moisture bound to find its way to the carpet, pad, and subfloor if not for the towels...not good.

I loath wallpaper.

By the time you are done removing the wallpaper, you will probably have to do some drywall repair or a skim coat. Remember to prime with an alkyd before you repaint it.

We use a garden sprayer with HOT water and DIF after pulling off face paper. We chose not to score the walls as the paper backing falls off the walls on its own if you spray with hot enough water and go around the room a few times, letting the hot water soak in for a few minutes. Its a messy job so be sure to lay plenty of newspaper down over your drops so you can wrap up the paper backing in it.
