Thanks for bustin my balls.
They are good at it. When doing something like that I usually figure my materials, how long it will take me and tack on a PITA factor, having never done it before. Before leaving the site I usually have an idea in my head of what I for real want to make on it after overhead. If I get it I get it....If I don't theres always the next one. Much rather go fishing than work for nothing. I still struggle with the remodeling part, but do the majority of that on a cost plus basis.

Re: What Would You Quote To Build This Cedar Greenhouse (ballpark)

My thanks to the OP on this thread. When I read your first post my first thought was 'not again' followed by 'I'd like to build a greenhouse for someone". A past client called me yesterday to inform me that she was mailing me the plans she purchased for her new greenhouse. Her big question was how soon we could do it.

So thanks for stirring up the ethereal breeze and welcome to the forums.

Good Luck
Dave

Now it worked! Thanks that was cool. Interesting estimating program...? Is that a program that already has a price per foot set into it?

does it have a name? Or did you create it? In that case, what are you naming it?

Is has a name, it is expensive not being mean or funny in my opinion it is for larger remodelers.

You probably need a cheaper program, that is easier to master.

Hmmmm,

Don't see a # for a foundation there either, maybe just a few piles of rocks on the bearing point's?

I'd love the chance to stomp on a loose estimate like this!

Re: What Would You Quote To Build This Cedar Greenhouse (ballpark)

The greenhouses I build are in kits. I ask the manufacturer how long the kit takes to put together. Then I double or triple (depending on complexity) that since I'm a one man show and don't have a crew. I sub out the foundation, electrical, and plumbing for the irrigation. Add it all up and that's my bid.

There's a lot of different ways to figure up a bid.

I think it would be cool as hell to build a project over there...commute would be a killer though! You keep me stocked in Kona and good plate lunches and we'll see...
