What Am I Getting Myself In To?

Did some work on a crazy, modern, mostly concrete house. Well the start of one anyway. Looking to get my foot in the door of this project, so I told the owner I would help him out and grout some beam pockets for him.
I call it the I-95 house, because it's built like a bridge over I-95.
2 huge wing/retaining walls 15' high. A couple of rooms on each side and the main part of the house will be built on the 2 steel beams.
The rough looking concrete is finish, they nailed planks inside the forms.
The 2 huge wing walls will be 1500 sq.ft of granite tile.
I tried a panaramic picture with my camera so some of the horizontal and vertical lines are off, but you can get the feel for the size. Thats my gray Super Duty down in the hole.
The chimney will be all concrete with 3 fire places on the inside. Not quite sure how we're going to do that yet.

Funny you ask. It's PERFECT horse fly habitat. This place over looks a marsh too.

Cool!

More funny. We're also calling this place "Das bunker" There's a light shaft up through the concrete about 8'X2', it turns 90* and exit's the building like a machinegun nest.

Looks like a cool project!

Modern houses can be very cool to work on. Usually they are the arch's "signature work". The specs can really push you to come up with innovative approaches.

We built one where two 200' curved retaining walls turned into the entrance walls, continued into the foyer and terminated in to a 3 story fireplace. All covered in dry stack ledge. Horizontals in the ledge had to be continuous the entire distance. No visible expansion joints.

No problem, its your money.
