That is some nice looking stone for sure. How much for that material just out of curiosity?

Is it just me, but when I was trained to lay stone I was always told to keep the sandwiches to an absolute minimum. Only when you run out of options do you stock bond them.

Regardless it looks good. I dont think that stone would look right jointed.

cost about $14 per sq ft, this stuff comes on mats, layout and spacing is already decided, for the most part. i am a distributor for this product, there are 6 different colors mixes available. this one is (rustic sunset). we also have about 6 different profiles available. G

Plastic mat or cement based. The best I find are epoxied together.. Where the face of a piece of stone bevels on the panels they run both up and down. Typically they should run down for a better look. You can also see where they but. Overall though They are a nice looking product. Preferable to phony stone.

When laying individual ledger stone often the faces will have a bevel to them. They are laid so that the bottom protrudes out from the face of the work and the top is flush with the face of work. Often the stone panels will contain two beveled pieces. One pointed up the other one down.
East West Stone uses only adhesive to hold the panels together. I find the mats will come off and see no real benefit to them. In general, I don't trust them.
They do use mats for their flooring which is alright. The flooring however consists of stones of different thicknesses. It's hard to level .I don't like any brand of the flooring that I've seen.

i just finished working on some inside and outside corners, the corners the manufacturer provided where not what i was looking for, so i had to take the panel apart, and do these pillars one piece at a time. its going to take awhile, i have a few thousand sq ft to go, with a few of these columns, (thats the time killer), on the block walls i did not stagger the corner pieces, on the main house i will alternate the corner pieces.http://

in this section, i thought it would be a good idea to run a joint where the block wall attaches to the house, i figured if stone straddled the connection, movement could cause the stone to break. now it has a joint to work with, not sure if it was correct to do, but it seemed like a good idea.
