Re: Ready To Pour
Thanks guys. Do you use any kind of releasing agent on the form before you pour? This could be a great nitch market for me. Know one for about 75 miles around me does this!
I assume you template the installed cabinets just like the Granite guys?

Re: Ready To PourQuote:
I personally never used a release agent, though I know there are some out there who do. And for mdshunk, like gene said, the templations and making of the mold is the most important part. The mold will pick up ANY defect and perfectly show it when you flip the piece. I vacuum my mold multiple times and scrub them with acetone before I pour. If you even have a bigger piece of sawdust in the mold and pour over it, it will show. Not to take away from grinding and polishing, as some of that is an art in itself, but mold making is the most important thing.

Re: Ready To Pour
Very nice. Something tells me there's more to it than banging some furring together and dumping in a bag or two of Sakrete.

Re: Ready To Pour
Very nice. Is it just my eyes or is there a crack by the sink in post 25? How would you fix a crack if there is one? What are the square gaps/holes where the two peices meet that you show installed? Not criticising just curious and don't know anything about these and they look nice!

Re: Ready To Pour
one more note, we place plywood on top of cabinet prior to install, then we can pour , and fill in, ply catches the concrete. tape off, pour flush to surrounding concrete.
