Brick & Stone Job On The Ohio River

Some pics of the job we did this past year for Ross Homes next door to the folks who own the Cincinnati Reds & Western Southern Life.

Nice work Denver!

On the vaulted ceilings, it looks like you used thin brick and a bull nose. Or is full depth?

We used thin brick which I cut and bullnose as you suspected with lath and rough coat. Had to instruct builder/ carpenter how to build vault by using the lofting method of measuring when two different size barrel arches cross each other. I had fun doing it. Owner wanted very rustic look so we just cut mortar off an did not joint the brick.

Re: Brick & Stone Job On The Ohio River

Thanks for the complements fellow tradesmen. In answer to the keystone question that's for the Architect to decide. Also, on the Gothic Arches keystones would not work since the arch comes to a point.
