Best Opaque Stain Product???
I have to recommend an opaque stain for a 23 unit condo project in Seattle. The colors will be medium to dark brown and the stain will be going over tight-knot cedar siding, rough side out. It has previously been stained with a semi-transparent latex stain. This isn't holding up well, so the condo group wants to switch to an opaque stain. So far we're considering Olympic and Cabot. Any recommendations between these two, or recommendations for another supplier? They are interested in the best protection for the wood over the longest time. Cost is also an issue, but is less important.
Thanks for any help you can offer! Barbara |

Cabots is good too. A customer had mildew problems after Olympic but I don't know about the history of his substrate before that.

Sherwin Williams Deckscapes is also a good solid. I would choose between that and the Cabot's.
