I talked to a rep. and they said along with the law-suits in the Minn. area there are also suits pending in the mid-section of the country[though not as many].I believe she said Texas, and Colorado.

Only fittings involved are the ones that say QPEX on them.

They are still making them. That's all I have installed. I buy bags of 100 for my fittings and crimp clamps. All the fittings are stamped with QPEX. I remember you saying that a while ago on another thread, so I looked at the manufactures date and it was Jan of 2008. Have they changed the stamping or something for the "redesigned" ones? To date I have not had one failure or one look ....mis-manufactured (I look at all fittings before I install them. Have seen a few bad copper fittings before and I hate doing drywall repair...

The ones now are good. It was in a certain time line. As far as I know it was only in a few states that batch was used in.

Also a problem in Virginia, but as I understand it the period for a class action suit has expired here.

It's an open ended suit, it can include any claims for any other failures regardless of location or date of manufacture.

Re: Www.zurnclassaction.com

I've used them in three 8-unit apartment buildings, two 12-units, and three duplexes over the last two years and have had no problems at all. I'm not sure if the problem is only happening with the solid crimp rings cause I've only used the ratcheting clamps.
