Re: Well --- MY HOUSE
if you're going to fill pool/hot tub...have it checked first. when i first moved into house i live in, i was going to save 400 gals of city water by using the well. next moring, it felt like somebody applied sandpaper to the surface of the hottub. apparently a high mineral content. works great for watering yard though.

Re: Well --- MY HOUSE
You'd first have to determine the depth to decide if you need a submersible pump or a ground-level jet pump. Depth determination can be done by a variety of means. If your well was officially "abandoned" before, it is likely grouted full. As an upholder of personal civil liberties, I say give 'er a rip.

Not too many wells have that sort of production. You might have to do it in stages, for a short interval, several times a day. If you pump more water or pump more quickly than it is flowing into the well, you'll get muddy water. Not so good for a pool, I would think. |
