Water Meter Noise
I just installed a new full 3/4 Water meter That I got from the "township". It makes a hell of a racket. clack, clack, clack...You can hear it through the whole house....This cant be normal can it??

Why would a 3/4 meter make such a noise..when the 5/8 was silent? Its more than just a tick sound.. Its gotta go at least 60db.

Sounds like a wobble plate type and they can make noise. Many municipalities rebuild them 'in house' so there is a chance that someone was hungover Mon. morning.
Where is the meter located, curbside or next to the house? You should not get disturbing sounds from a meter. I'd complain and ask them for a rotary vane type.
