W.C. Weeping , Feed Back Please

I have a customer with a kohler water closet 2nd floor bathroom , the water in bowl keeps weeping out no sign of water on the floor or even stoppage in the line , I installed a new flapper and valve , I also put in dye to see if the tank was leaking not a drop of dye showed up in the bowl ,I'm still leaning towards a stoppage or even a vent problem thats sucking the water out , FYI the house is about 35 years old ,The customer stated that the water level in the bowl stated up for about 3 hours after I left the job .

Thanks in advance !!

if there is a rag or string like fabric stuck in the tight turn of the WC trap if could be wicking water down the waste. Or there could be a defect or crack from power augering within the tight turn of the trap that would not be visible but leak down the waste as well.
