Apparently Not! Neither is a set of doubled 2" x 12" (header) for those other floor joints and I don't see any 2 by's for wall framing... scary thought with a cast iron tub imo.

Are they even rated to hang by the rim only? I know it's cast iron, but sheesh.

No.

Kohler tells you the bottom of the tub needs to be supported, but that is not the first time I've seen the instructions ignored.

Get a 300 pound tub loaded with 500 pounds of water and that looks more and more like a booby trap.

what about the 5/8ths rock on the cieling? maybe the bottom of the tub is code , at least if you pull in the garage and your wife is in the tub, she will know you are home

I'll also add the fact that the vent is also a code violation, as it is more than five feet from the trap.

I noticed that too, Killer. My 1st thought when I seen the pic was, well that over 42"

C'mon guys, even if the tub falls, the copper pipe filled with water and the romex filled with electrons will hold it up, esp since it's a metal tub, with someone's bare ass sitting in it

Trap arm to vent is too far away, you need to fix that.
