Tub/shower Valve
I am installing a new MOEN tub / shower setup in my bathroom. I would like to use pex for all the piping. Are there any concerns using pex to connect the valve to the spout or the shower head?

Re: Tub/shower Valve
Pex is good to the valve but use Cu for the spout.

Re: Tub/shower Valve
well acording to moen stacking is when the water pressure on a single handle tub and shower mix valve is restricted while filling the tub by utilizing the spout and some of the water begins to come out of the shower head. from my understanding when pex is used for the spout, the fittings provide enough resistance by narrowing in diameter that when you are filling the tub not enough water can get out and it travels up and out of the head, same thing happens when you place the valve and the shower head to close.

Re: Tub/shower Valve
Thank's guys. I guess the right thing to do is use copper for the spout and pex for the rest.

Re: Tub/shower Valve
I put a a big fat glob of construction adhesive behind the shower ell before i attatch it to the bracing if I use PEX. Some plumbers I've worked with insist on copper even for a few feet of the supplies so that the whole assembly is rigid.
