Question

Tool Purchase


Does anyone have any insight on where I might be able to puchase some good used drain cleaning and pipe threading equipment I Havent had much luck with ebay

Rick, that stuff commands high dollar, even on eBay.

I do have two Ridid 300 (tristand type) power threaders that I'll be parting with since I've upgraded to the 1200 series. Were you looking for just a pony threader, or a bonafide power vise? I don't have any pony drives to spare really. I don't know how I'd ship such a thing to Tennessee.

Do plumbers still thread much pipe? Seems like gaswork was the last holdout for using threading equipment, and now they're using mostly CSST. Sprinkler work I see a lot of PEX being used residentially now, but I guess commercial fire sprinklers are still threaded, but I see a lot of Victaulic (roll grooved) stuff being installed as of late. I guess you still thread up oil fill lines for oil tanks.

Might be interested in those at least one of them I head up that way a couple times of year (from nj) sisters still there let me know when your ready and we'll talk
