Re: Teflon Tape Or Pipe Thread Compound?

I'm not a plumber but when i seal any threaded connection i always put teflon tape and the yelllow Rector Seal the slow drying stuff. I dont know if this accepted practice by licensed plumbers but i almost never have a leaky threaded connection!

Does anyone know how to use a search feature on here, this subject tape or pipe dope, has been talked about too many times.

Use Tape and Pipe dope together.

If nothing sticks to teflon, how does it stick to the bottom of my egg pan?
Sorry about that, it is a knee jerk reaction when I hear the word teflon...
