Stoppage
I was called out on a stoppage this morning single rest room in a office building , no clean outs and its vented with a studor vent in the ceiling , I pulled the W.C and ran the cable in this way, I could only get 10' of cable down the line with and without a head on it and the cable stops dead wont go any further in line or in reverse either, I'm thinking its coming up in a floor drain or in another W.C in the office next door,When you look down the riser it doesn't appear to be back to back rough , I did have some paper on the line when i pulled it out ,what do you think its hanging up on , I dont think anything is in the line its self , I think i'm running into a fitting somewheres , BTW I flushed it about 6 times after i rodded it out running great .

Re: Stoppage
Sounds like you are hitting a clean out plug on the end of a wast line but it could be turning and hitting anything. Like Ron said, you need a camera to know for sure. If it`s working dont worry about it

Re: Stoppage
The odd thing to about this stoppage the customer tells me that,They plunge the toilet maybe twice a week then it works fine for another week ,But I can't get a artight answer has to how long this has been going on i'm thinking its not whats in the line but what their putting in the bowel, I've flushed it myself about 6 times and the water never even came up an inch, I did notice it has an offset flange on the riser and in the tank someone has put a plastic bowl around the valve to save on water , maybe its not getting enough water to flush the solids out ??

Re: Stoppage
Is it a water saver toilet, if not, then I'd remove the bowl.
The offset flange could be the problem, thats why there not code approved for use here. |

Re: Stoppage
I guess you would call it a water saver , the bowl is built right into Douglas valve, date stamp on the tank is 1981, I've never seen one have you ? , its about 5" high and 5" round clear in color, those offset flanges weren't approved here either but in the past few years they got approved them
, one thing i can't find is a no hub adapter , i guess since they approved the fernco here now their not being stock anywheres ( No hub adapters ). Thanks again for the feed back Ron you too All Clear !!
