Sometimes I Have No Hot Water
My hot water tank appears to functioning normally, most of the time. Here's an example of my problem: there was no hot water use all night. when i went to use the hot in the morning there was none. after running the hot water that wasn't hot, i looked at the tank and i could see and hear that is was on and heating up. about an hour later there was plenty of hot water. i think that sometimes the thermostat (or something else) is not turning on the burner. the tank is about 10 years old which is the life expectancy. does this sound like a problem that if i replace a thermostat or something it's fixed or do i probably need to replace the entire unit? thanks...email - danfine1@aol.com

Re: Sometimes I Have No Hot Water
probably won't help, but...
maybe the thermostat is sitting in a bunch of sediment, which is getting stirred up when you run the water... drain the tank. |
