Softner Or New Filter Ssytem
I have well water and currently have an old filter system setup. There are two filters but cant replace the one so I only use one filter. My water pressure is weak, never was. My question is, if I get a water softner system will I still need the water filter system I have?
In other words does a water softner replace the need for a filter system? Thanks, |

Re: Softner Or New Filter Ssytem
I think that you should have your well tested by a local co., you're going to get a lot of confusing answers here.
I installed a WaterBoss softener yesterday here in FL. It claims to have a self-cleaning sediment filter but I installed a 30 micron ahead of it to be on the safe side. We tend to get a lot of sand here. My house in NC has never had filters or anything else, never had a problem.
