Single Line Plumbing Plan?

I'm working on a residential plumbing single line plan drawing for or my house as the village of oak park requires it.

For hot and cold supply and drains in the 1sf floor floor joist bays, would i show the pipe linework in the first floor plan or the basement plan? I think i've see in both ways?

You should have a separate sheet IMO. Are you the HomeOwner?

You will need to submit isometric drawings.

One page will have everything you need to show, they are not to scale.

Your plumbing contractor should be able to draw them for you.

I'm doing a separate plan for each floor, but i'm wondering if the pipe in the 1st floor joist bays would be shown in the basement plumbing plan or the 1st floor plumbing plan? i guess it would apply to the 2nd floor joist bays as well. i've seen is both ways and always wondered what the correct way is.

Yes the project is my house. i'm doing the drawings and some of the work but subbing out the MEP.

Have a qualified engineer or plumber do your isometric drawings, you will also need to show each floor's plumbing plan.

isometric drawing's will show the complete system, DWV, Supply and gas.

Not required or necessary in this case, but I'll probably run it by one of our PEs.

I was only asking cause I wanted to finish the P sheets tonight and it's always bothered me that I've seen joist bay pipe referenced on both plans.

Re: Single Line Plumbing Plan?

Genius,
When you draw the first floor plumbing page? What plumbing do you think it will have drawn on it?

How bout the basement plumbing page? What plumbing do you think it will have drawn on it?

Hang on. Lemme ask my 5 year old daughter. Yup. The answer is that obvious.
