Shower Base In Need Of Make Over!

I'm a handyman and have a question. I have a stall shower base that's lost a great deal of its top layer. It's made of fiberglass. Are there finishes, epoxys, etc that I can use on it to re finish? Ripping it out is not an option! Thanks Mike

Yes there are. You didn't say what the shower base was made of, but I'll assume fiberglass. It can be resurfaced. Look in the phonebook for bathtub reglazing. One of those companies should be able to help you. Home depot actually sells a DIY kit for this purpose, but I have never tried it.

Manufacturers like Sterling, Kohler,
Swan, etc. have "factory authorized"
repair service through local companies.
You might get a referral by calling
customer service 800#'s.
At least you know that their guy has
their trust, and probably more than
5 minutes of experience.
Maybe local plumbing supplies or "bath design"
stores could give you some names.
Would beat cold call from the phone book
for me.
