Re: Shower Base

We install curbless showers for wheel chair access. I know there is a minimum for drain size!

Re: Shower Base

I usually figure about 3". I'm doing a curbless for wheelchair access now. Standard pans are about 2-1/2" I think.

Re: Shower Base

When I'm ruffing houses, I make a point to look at such details. Almost always do I see two 2x4's stacked up for the shower curb (3"), plus whatever backer board and tile get you for added thickness. I'd guess that would net around 3-3/4" or thereabouts.

If you are doing a shower, consider the shower pan from Schulter

It takes about 4 hours to install, great product.......it comes with a 5 inch curb and shower pan base of about 1 1/2".

Yeah MD Thats how I am doing mine...From memory of what Ive seen. I ve got 3 2x4 flat, So = 4 1/2 + height of cement on top+tile then - the shower base. I should come in around 3" on the inside
