Sharkbite Plumbing Connecters

Anybody ever used these push on connecters to join polybutelene or PEX together?

Re: Sharkbite Plumbing Connecters

New Insurance codes for a campus, a flame is the last resort for me. I
have to fill out a "Hot Work Permit" and do a 4 hour fire watch after I'm done with the job. So, needless to say, I use Shark Bite quite often. Can't beat 'em.
Has anyone used the crimp copper fittings? I haven't but, a lot of
plumbers I talk to hate them. They have a problem with leaks.

I've used the press-fit copper o-ring fittings before & they work good as long as the pipe is clean & smooth. We did a Home Depot with thousands of feet of copper up to 3" in size, and only had a couple leaks & it was because the pipe wasn't preped right. All of the piping was exposed in the ceiling or out in the garden area, not in any walls.
